While many people are discovering the ease of  dressing a bed with just sheets and a duvet, blankets still provide an easily adjustable way to add warmth as needed during the night.  Selecting a blanket to meet your needs is important to a good night's sleep.

Thermal Weave -a loose or open weave blanket; for year-round, light-weight warmth.  (**Use with a light-weight Blanket Cover or Sheet on top to lock in warmth during the cooler months of the year.)

Conventional Weave - a tight or closed weave blanket; for cold weather and maximum warmth.
Wool the most commonly used blanket fiber, offers warmth and durability. It can vary in weight from a feather-weight to a heavy camp blanket. The softest, finest wools are merino, cashmere and long-pile mohair.  Wool has a unique wicking action which prevents you from perspiring keeping you warmer in winter, and cool in summer. Dry cleaning of most wool blankets is recommended.
Cotton blankets are a lighter weight option for summer bedding. With a textured weave, they have the look and comfort of a favorite sweater and the "breathe ability" of natural fiber.
Silk, a soft and luxurious alternative for blankets. Silk blankets are extremely light-weight and provide incredible warmth. Dry cleaning is recommended.
Acrylic blankets are washable, lightweight and of a lower price point, but they do not "breathe" as well, and can pill or flatten after repeated washings.
Electric blankets are designed to keep you warm and cozy during the winter chill. They are made with a unique system that senses and adjusts to send warmth when and where you need it most.
Down blankets are washable, lightweight, and are of a lesser price point than down comforters. With their contemporary satin binding design, they are a unique compliment to consider when dressing a bed.
