A baby blanket is a common gift, given to expectant mothers and even to new babies. The chances that their favorite blanket would be one there are many children that grow up refusing to give up their baby blanket. Many of those blankets are so well loved that all that remains is the frayed remnants of what they once were.
The blanket itself can be either store bought or hand-made. The biggest thing that they all seem to have in common is that silky fabric at the edge of the blanket. Some children seem to like the feel of the fabric on their skin. These are usually the children that hug the blanket in some way. These children always manage to have the blanket at their face. Other children will rub the blanket between their fingers, seemingly just to play with it.
