Now there are a lot of ball gloves in the market. Many people don't know the function of ball gloves. Why cant they wear gloves?
It would be much easier to catch the ball and not have it hurt hands from the hardiness of the ball. The glove can reach more farther than your hands. All the fielders don't want to use their bare hands, and they hope wear a glove. The wicket keeper also hope wear a better glove that has a pocket for holding the ball instead of just oven mitts.
There is no rule that says fieldsmen cant wear gloves, it wouldn't give them any extra advantage, cricket balls are smaller than baseballs and fit more easily into a hand. They have a soft leather case and you rarely hear of anybody getting injured hands from catching a ball, wicketkeeping gloves have been designed specifically for catching cricket balls, if there was any improvement that could be made then somebody probably would have thought of it by now.
So the ball gloves is important for fieldsmen, they can cause them not to be injured.
