Buying a fitted hat used to be a simple process. Pick a hat you like, try it on until you find one that fits and buy it. Now, however, the explosion of internet shopping has made prices cheaper but getting the right fit a much bigger challenge.
Step1: First you need to understand hat sizing, typically hats are fitted in 1/8-inch increments with most adults falling between a 6-3/4 to a 7-3/8 size. Hats can also come in one-size-fits-all and generic sizing such as small, medium and large.
Step2: You now need to measure your head to determine your hat size. Using the cloth tape measure measure from the back of your head around to the top of your brow. You should measure just above your ear.
Step3: Now that you have the circumference of your head, you need to determine your hat size. To do so, find your head size on the chart. Next to it you will see your correct hat size.
